Objective

The tandem partners will improve their oral skills in the foreign language to facilitate its usage in work related situations. They will also have the opportunity to get familiar with the culture of the target country, as well as develop their communications skills with people from different backgrounds.

Content

A tandem language course is based on Peer-to-Peer teaching where two students with different mother tongues (Finnish and Russian) meet regularly to practice their language skills reciprocally as they best see fit: study grammar, practice oral skills, discuss cultural issues etc. The tandem partners control and evaluate each other supervised by the language tutor.

Peer-to-peer meetings 20x2hours ( 1 hour/language) according to the study plan.

The study diary with an entry of approx. 0.5 A4 per session should be returned to the language tutor by e-mail after the first ten sessions.
