Objective

Students will develop and indicate their proficiency in applying their knowledge and skills in practical specialist tasks linked to their professional studies requiring expertise. They will deepen their professional competence in R&D activities in cooperation with others participating in the process. Students will indicate that they are conversant with critical, research based, developmental and ethical thinking as a foundation for developing their expertise.

Content

Part 1. Topic analysis 3 cr
Aims of the thesis, topic selection and focus, supervision and peer supervision, commitment, topic analysis and its presentation, information retrieval skills.
Part 2. Thesis plan 5 cr
Cooperation with commissioning party, commissioning agreement and copyright, evaluation procedures, thesis plan and its presentation.
Part 3. Completion of the thesis, its presentation and reporting 7 cr.

Prerequisites

Research and Development 3 cr must be accomplished before presenting the topic analysis. The topic analysis must be accepted before presenting the thesis plan. The thesis plan must be accepted before the completing and presenting the thesis. The thesis must be presented before writing the maturity test.
