Objective
The student will be able to recognize clients / families/ communities as experts in their own life and as active agents within the service process.
They will be able to identify the clients' resources.
They will understand clients' needs within social and health services overall and can support them and their relatives in an empowering way.
The students will recognize the importance of culture within supervising and counseling clients and within social empowerment.
Content
The individual, family and community as clients, inclusion of the individual, family and community and the general methods of supporting inclusion, the significance and meanings of clients' experience, the significance of clients' life histories, habits and life situation in care, the impacts of health, illness and social problems on clients' life situations, resource based service provision, significance of cultural background when dealing and interacting with clients.

Itsenäistä opiskelua - oppimistehtävät DevMoodlessa:
Opintojakso koostuu 8 eri teemasta, jotka esitellään orientaatiotunnilla. Jokaiseen teemaan liittyy jokin DevMoodleen palautettava tehtävä. Opiskelija etenee teemoittain järjestyksessä aikataulun mukaisesti.
