Objective

Students will be able to define and focus on the tourism programme service sector, seeing it as part of the tourism cluster. They will recognise nature tourism programme services (main summer activities: hiking, nordic walking, cycling, riding, wildlife, canoeing and fishing; main winter activities: skiing, snowshoeing, winter fishing), sports tourism (active and passive), culture tourism (recreational resources that culture offers) and well-being tourism (well-being tourism within the sphere of health tourism). Students will be able to define and describe the special features of nature, sports, culture and well-being tourism programme services, as well as being able to determine which of the above activity's forms of programme services and products are specifically suitable for Kainuu and Koillismaa.
