Objective
Mechanical and production engineering students will be able to read professional texts linked to their area of engineering and write technical documents.
The student understands the requirements and effects of global environment in the field of mechanical and production engineering (getting familiar with ISO standards in English).
The student understands the central concepts and terminology within the field of mechanical and production engineering.
The student is able to communicate in English in an international working life.

The students are able to apply and adapt their language to the needs of working life when writing and speaking using the vocabulary of their field, topics related to current content and versatile sentence structures. The students are proficient in the fundamental terminology of their field and can write about and discuss themes concerning their field of study using the correct terminology. The students' pronunciation and articulation is clear.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The students are able to produce sentences of basic structure in everyday and working life when writing and speaking. The students recognise and are able to use the fundamental terminology of their field and their pronunciation and articulation is mainly clear, though errors occur.
