Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The students are able to define and explain all the main concepts and principles of calculation covered during the course. They are able to lead or prove results presented during the course and to justify their use. The students are able to apply course information to new tasks that require insight, that have not been covered previously. Their calculations are accurate.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The students are able to present, list and use ideas behind the main principles of calculation. They are able to interpret the sense and meaning of the results. The students are able to compare different methods of calculation and can choose a method suitable to the context. Their calculations are mainly accurate.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The students are able to identify the main concepts and principles of calculation of the course. They know how to solve calculations using formulas based on examples covered during lessons. Minor, non-conceptual errors, are possible.
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
The students will be assessed by exam. Satisfactory = 50 - 70 % of exam points, Good = 70 - 90 % of exam points and excellent = over 90 % of exam points.
