Climate Actions in Business (2 cr)

Objective

The aim of this course is to increase the knowledge among different business and economical solutions for the climate change mitigation.

Content

In this course we focus on the different bsiness and economic solutions that help in the climate change mitigation. The solutions are from the Fields of markets, taxations and digitalisation.

Content of the course:
- Basics of the ecological sustainability (mandatory)
- Voluntary carbon markets
- Emissions trading
- Sustainable public procurement
- Voluntary sertificates
- Markets and consumer behavior
- Energy taxation and support
- Digitalisation
- Calculation of the carbon footprint

Location and time

Opintojakson voi suorittaa oman aikataulun mukaisesti vuoden 2024 aikana.

Verkko-opintojakson yhteydessä tutustuttavaksi tuleva materiaali.

Teaching methods

Itsenäisesti verkossa suoritettava opintojakso.

Student workload

Opintojakso on 2 opintopisteen laajuinen. 2 opintopistettä vastaa noin 54 tuntia opiskelijan työtä.

KAMKin tutkinto-opiskelijan tulee keskustella oman tutoropettajan kanssa opintojakson suorittamisesta ennen opintojaksolle ilmoittautumista. Opintojakso suoritetaan Edukamu -oppimisalustalla, josta suoritus kirjautuu opiskelijan opintorekisteriin pienellä viiveellä.

Opintojakson kaikki materiaalit ja kirjautuminen tapahtuu edukamu.fi sivuston kautta.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

An approved performance is obtained when the student has studied the mandatory part of the course and six other solutions.
