Objective

- The student recognizes phenomena and challenges related to the lives of clients in youth and adult social work.
- The student can identify and utilize theoretical foundations, legislation, and operational environments in youth and adult social work.
- The student is familiar with the services in youth and adult social work, the organizations providing them, and can work in a multidisciplinary network.
- The student understands client processes in youth and adult social work and can utilize various guidance methods to support clients in their everyday lives.
- The student understands the significance of documentation and decision-making in client work as part of youth and adult social work.

Content

- Fundamentals and concepts of youth and adult social work, such as school social work, student welfare counseling services, social work within the defense forces, adult social work, housing social work, financial social work, social guidance, and community social work.
- Client processes and services in youth and adult social work, as well as the legislation guiding them.
- Client support needs and promoting well-being through multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Exercise and nature-based guidance methods and an experimental approach in client work.
