Objective
To deepen professional competence and working life skills. The students apply their knowledge and skills and demonstrate a developmental approach to their work.

Preliminary planning
12 week practical training period in a sports environment

Pass:
The students behave in an appropriate manner in accordance with the values and ethics of the exercise and sports sector. They work responsibly and demonstrate their reliability. They adapt to the working culture of the practical training place. The students work independently, are motivated and demonstrate that they are willing to develop their expertise. They are able to ensure the safety and comfort of their occupational environment. The students take others into consideration and work flexibly as part of a group. The students develop expertise in their place of work (R&D assignment). They are able to recognise their own level of competence realistically and critically assess their own work. The students are able to accept feedback and take part in an interactive feedback discussion. They apply knowledge and skills acquired during their studies and can justify their own work using theoretical argumentation. The students are able to plan teaching periods and lessons, with the ability to use various teaching styles to instruct and give feedback (while instructing). They can plan and instruct groups and individuals in a customer oriented manner. The students are able to work according the requirements of the exercise/sports counselling process and can compile individualised training programmes. They are able to conduct testing to a high standard and safely. The students can describe the significance of exercise in society. They demonstrate that they have mastered a research-based and developmental approach to their work. The students are able to network with sports and exercise actors and to conduct cooperation within a network.
Prerequisites
Approx. 120 credits must be accomplished before this practical training period, including preliminary practical training.
