Objective

- The student knows the service system supporting well-being and social security (activities in municipalities and welfare areas).
- The student will be familiar with the basics of managing people's health and well-being.
- The student will be familiar with the possibilities of using social knowledge from the perspective of structural social work.
- Knowledge of smart service solutions for inclusion and welfare technologies.
- The student will learn to do project-type development work in welfare promotion.

Content

- Population health and well-being, health promotion strategies and municipal and regional well-being plans.
- Laws, basic concepts and ethics of health and well-being promotion.
- The starting points for guidance, the process, different methods and digital solutions, quality and effectiveness in health and well-being promotion.
- Promoting social well-being in services for different ages and client groups.

Further information

The course involves 135 hours of sudy, with 10-15 h of online or face-to-face lectures.
Contact teaching/exercises/simulations/project: 1-3 credits of work-based project work can also be chosen.
Literature: online material provided by the teacher.
Assessment: pass - fail.
