Objective
Students will understand the basics of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams software and be able to use them professionally and independently in their studies and working life.
Execution methods
The online course is divided into several chapters, covering the use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, from the basics to advanced features. Students will learn to use the software by actively doing it themselves, using online material to complete guided documents, slide presentations and Excel workbooks. Feedback will be given on completed and returned exercises. Students can ask for further guidance by email, on the course discussion board or in the assignment feedback.
Accomplishment methods
The e-learning course includes a total of nine tasks to be completed in different Office software.
Content
The three-credit course covers the Basic, Advanced and Pro levels of Office software.
Basics:
- Basics of word processing
- Spreadsheet Basics
- Basics of Slide Presentations
- Teams and meeting attendance
Advanced:
- Long documents
- Advanced use of Excel
- Keys to a good presentation
Pro:
- Advanced use of Word
- Bringing a PowerPoint presentation to life
- Analysing the data
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
The student returns all nine assignments with a pass. Passing an assignment also requires any corrections that may be made in the feedback.
