Objective

Students will be conversant with basic mineral processing, the properties of granulose material, the unit processes and equipment of particle engineering. Students will know basic beneficiation methods and the structures of beneficiation equipment. Students will gain knowledge of the separation of solids from water/gas mixtures.

The students are able to understand the operational mechanisms and principles as well as methods of adjustment (tuning) of equipment used in this field. They are able to use professional concepts with expertise and can apply their professional competence in different situations.

The students are able to understand the basic operating principles of equipment used in the field. They are able to use a wide range of professional concepts fluently and can carry out tasks in different operational environments.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students are able to recognise the most common devices and how they work.
They are able to use professional concepts systematically and can work on individual tasks according to the commission.
