Objective

The student knows the basics of measurement technology and knows the meaning and main structure of sensors and knows how to choose
and connect the right sensor for each application.

Basics of measurement technology: e.g. measurement uncertainty and its determination and the concept of calibration
Basics of sensors
Switching position sensors
Displacement and rotation sensors
Speed ​​measurement
Measurement of acceleration and vibration
Measurement of force and pressure
Temperature and flow measurement
Barcode and piece identification
Automation safety functions
Connecting the sensors to the control system
