Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The students are able to use calculation methods in the structural planning of steel and wooden structures with expertise. They are able to define the main points of the problems to be solved and apply acquired knowledge to solve similar problems.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The students know the design principles for planning load-bearing structures and can determine the loads and load combinations of a building and its structures. They are able to explain the impact of the building's stiffening principle on the dimensioned model. They can plan and dimension a steel and wood beam in ultimate and service limit state and a bent and pressed steel and wood pillar. The students are able to dimension the timber framework of a floor for vibration. They are able to design and dimension simple joins.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The students are familiar with the properties and use of wood and steel materials in building and can describe the design principles of load-bearing structures. They are able to determine the loads that the structures will bear. They can dimension a single-span steel and wood beam in ultimate and service limit state and a bent and pressed steel and wood pillar.
