Content scheduling

The first half of the course consists mainly of lectures and related assignments, which are available on the Reppu online learning platform.

The second half of the course consists mainly of pair work on information security topics.

The exact schedule of the course depends on the size of the group and the number of presentations.

Objective

Students will gain knowledge of current questions pertinent to data security and will know the importance of information security in working life and gets to know information security practices in the organization.

Exam schedules

The exam will be held at the end of the course. The exam date and possible retake dates will be announced halfway through the course.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students will know the foundations, concepts and demands of data security and can use them in their own work. 50 - 65% of points in the exam.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

In addition to a satisfactory level of competence the students are able to identify the needs and focus of data security. They will be proficient in data security methods and can use them if necessary. 65 - 90% of points in the exam.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students will know the legislation and focus of data security and understand the importance of risk management. They will be able to compile a data security plan based on risk analysis. 90 - 100% of points in the exam.
