Objective

The student sets objectives for the practical training to support developing their own skills and strengthen their career plans. The practical training provides the students with an opportunity to work on different levels within the field of their studies and to apply their knowledge and skills in working life. They will actively participate in tasks given to them and reflect upon their own competence in terms of their theoretical knowledge.

Practical training can be completed both in Finland or abroad. The practical training is scheduled to take place at the end of the studies

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student is able to independently find a practical training place in Finland or abroad that supports their professional orientation. They have participated in the information sessions, completed the preliminary assignments, and submitted the practical training or employment contract to the practical training coordinator. In addition, the student completes a learning task related to the practical training place and draws up a reflective practical training report.
The student is able to find out independently about the different tasks and opportunities offered by the practical training place. The student is able to work in a variety of basic and professional tasks in the practical training place, using the knowledge and skills acquired in professional and specialization studies.

Failed: The student is not able to reach the goals of the practical training.
