Objective
The student understands the role of events in tourism and the regional importance of events. The student is able to plan the activities related to the organisation of events, taking into account the obligations of the authorities and the opportunities offered by diverse environments. They are able to take an active role in the implementation of an event. The student will be able to define tourism programming and experience services and link them to the tourism industry.

Student can use the concepts of event organisation in a competent and comprehensive way.
The student can integrate the knowledge and skills acquired. They can work in a customer-oriented, goal-oriented and working environment-developing way.
The student is able to work independently, responsibly, proactively and flexibly in the event environment. The student will be able to plan, implement and evaluate safe experience services.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
Student can consistently use the key concepts related to event organisation and choose appropriate approaches based on the information and guidance they have acquired. The student is able to work independently and responsibly in various event organisation tasks. They can design and implement safe and secure event services.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Student is able to use specific concepts related to event organisation and to work in a guided way in different tasks of event organisation or in planning experience services.
Assessment methods and criteria
Both, Event Management and Programme Services units are assesses, which will determine the overall grade for the course.
Individual examination: grading scale 0-5 (Sat 24.5.2025). Retakes: Autumn 2025

Exercises (all must be passed)
Programme Services:
Group assignment (submission and presentation deadline 25.4.2025; grading scale 0-5) and its peer assessments; Four online quizzes must be passed by the date of individual examination. For more instructions, see Reppu course page.
