Objective

Students develop their spoken and written skills in Swedish from the point of view of their future professions.

Content

Communication related to studies, skills and work experience and tasks. Documents e.g. job application, CV. Oral activities e.g. job interview, telephoning and customer service. Business communication e.g. inquiries, quotations, offers, complaints. Oral presentation e.g. company presentation or game project.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students know how to apply and adapt their written and spoken Swedish for the needs of working life using the terminology, topics on current contents and a variety of sentence structures. The are proficient in the basic terminology of the field and can plan and deliver a comprehensive and natural presentation on a topic concerning their field of study. They are able to use the phraseology of business correspondence documents and to compile such documents.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students are able to produce basic sentence structures in writing and in speech for use in usual everyday and work situations. They are able to identify and use the basic terminology of their field of study. They are proficient in planning and delivering a fairly fluent oral presentation on a topic related to their field of study using support material, though they may make grammar and pronunciation errors from time to time. They are able to identify and can write business correspondence documents.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students are able to produce simple sentence structures in writing and speech for use in basic everyday and work situations. They recognise basic terminology related to their field of study. They are able to plan and deliver an oral presentation on a topic related to their field of study with support material and though grammar and pronunciation mistakes are apparent. They can identify business correspondence documents.
