Objective
The student masters the key calculations and percentage calculation principles needed in a travel company and knows how to use and apply them in various practical situations.
Content
- Reviewing the basics of mathematics and creating mathematical abilities
- Percentage calculation and its application in e.g. profit margin, value added tax and interest calculations
- Interpreting percentages
- Unit conversions
Evaluation scale
0 - 5
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student can define and explain all the central concepts and calculation principles of the course. He can lead or prove the results presented during the course and can justify their usefulness.
The student knows how to apply the information of the course also to new tasks that require insight, examples of which have not been used earlier during the course. There are no errors in the invoices.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student can present and list and use the ideas behind the key calculation principles. He knows how to interpret the reasonableness and meaning of the results of the invoices.
The student can compare different calculation methods and choose the appropriate calculation method for the given situation. The calculation is mostly error-free.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student recognizes the key concepts of the course and the calculation principles of percentage calculation with their applications.
In an exam situation, the student is able to solve calculations according to example situations used in the majority of classes using calculation formulas. Small, not principled errors are possible.
Objective
The student masters the key calculations and percentage calculation principles needed in a travel company and knows how to use and apply them in various practical situations.
Execution methods
Contact, remote teaching and independent study.
