Sisällön jaksotus

The course runs throughout the autumn, spring, and summer semesters. Students will participate in practical event work according to the schedules of the assigned or approved events, which may take place during weekdays, evenings, or weekends. Some events require pre-event preparations, on-site duties, and post-event tasks on consecutive days. Details of each event will be announced in advance, including dates, locations, and assigned roles. Attendance in assigned event shifts is compulsory. Any missed shifts must be compensated by completing equivalent hours in other approved events during the same academic year.

Tavoitteet

The students will participate in producing an event. They be able to work within different roles within the event in a responsible and expert way as well as to evaluate the success of the event.

Opetusmenetelmät

The course includes 100 hours of hands-on event work in real projects, either found by you (with teacher approval) or provided by KAMK. You might work in events by help with preparations, guide visitors, run activities, manage social media, or assist with packing up afterwards. In addition, you’ll write a report reflecting on what you did and learned.

The course requires approximately 135 hours of student work. This includes 100 hours of practical event work in various roles, either in projects provided by KAMK or in independently arranged and approved events, and 35 hours for writing a reflective report on the work and learning outcomes. The exact workload may vary depending on the nature of the events and the time each student spends on their tasks.

Arviointikriteerit, hyväksytty/hylätty

The course is assessed on a pass–fail basis. To pass, students must complete at least 100 hours of approved practical event work, submit a written reflective report, and meet the agreed learning objectives. Active participation, reliability in assigned tasks, and timely submission of all required documentation are essential. Failure to complete the required hours, missing compulsory tasks without approved compensation, or not submitting the report will result in a failing grade.

Lisätiedot

You must carefully follow the instructions provided for using AI for each task, in accordance with Arene’s AI recommendations. Misuse of AI, whether intentional or not, will result in failing the assignment or course and having to retake it, according to KAMK’s guidelines. A misconduct report will be completed for each incident.
