The students are able to use professional concepts with expertise and can apply their professional competence as required in different situations. They are able to select the best possible and available structural solution for the situation. They are able to develop systematic methods and planning instructions so that the design team can produce optimal solutions cost-effectively.

The students are able to use a wide range of professional concepts fluently and are able to assess the suitability of methods for different situations in various operational environments. They are able to apply mechanical design methods to achieve optimal structural solutions.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The students understand the methods of systematic mechanical design and are aware of the significance of economic factors in mechanical design.

Objective
Students will understand the significance of a systematic product planning method and financial issues in product planning.
Execution methods
Teaching is face-to-face teaching or via the internet. Participating in the teaching is possible via remote connection according to the schedule.
Accomplishment methods
The course includes lectures and various exercises. The teaching is mainly organized as face-to-face teaching. Passing the course requires the completion of both practice assignments and the final exam. The course requires 81 hours of student work.
