Objective

The student recognizes the requirements of entrepreneurship and knows how to evaluate his own strengths and development targets.
The student develops his own entrepreneurial skills, such as sales, teamwork, problem solving, communication and presentation skills.
The student understands the basics of business and knows how to evaluate and develop the company's operations. Student knows how to prepare a business model and business plan.
The student builds collaborative networks that promote business and identifies and evaluates their own activities in the company as part of a team.

Content

JA Company Program – Higher Education is a learning program combining theory and practice, the goals of which are to learn and grow Finnish business culture, entrepreneurial skills and attitude.
The program aims to experiment with entrepreneurship.
During the study period, a Nuori Yrittäjyys (NY) training company operating with real money will be established.
The company is run for a fixed period ( 1year), after which it is terminated.
There is no financial support available for this type of business, the maximum amount of your own budget is 100€ per shareholder. The company's turnover must not exceed 19,999€.
JA Company Program – Higher Education is a practical way to get a feel for entrepreneurship and develop the skills needed in business operations.

The student is highly active in teamwork, capable of leading group work, and negotiating effectively. They create and implement innovative, viable business ideas. They fully understand and successfully apply business principles while improving company operations. They produce a high-quality, feasible business plan and refine it dynamically. They demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial mindset and actively develop their own actions.

The student works in a team and demonstrates basic interaction skills, but there is room for improvement. They develop ideas, but execution remains incomplete. They have a foundational understanding of business and can apply it under guidance. They create a functional business model and plan, though it is not yet fully comprehensive. They can evaluate their strengths and areas for development at a basic level.

The student actively collaborates and demonstrates good interaction and project management skills. They can assess the operating environment and develop realistic innovations. They independently apply business skills in entrepreneurial activities. Their business plan is well-founded and evolving. They realistically assess their own performance and strive to develop themselves as an entrepreneur.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student does not participate in group work and does not demonstrate interaction or negotiation skills. They do not present ideas or engage in innovation. They lack an understanding of basic business principles and cannot apply them in practice. They are unable to create a business model or business plan. The student does not recognize the requirements of entrepreneurship and does not evaluate their own actions.

The student occasionally participates in group work but does not support the team’s activities. They recognize some opportunities but struggle to develop them further. They have a basic understanding of business concepts but lack the ability to apply them in practice. Their business model or plan is incomplete and contains unrealistic assumptions. They recognize some aspects of entrepreneurship, but self-reflection remains superficial.
