Objective

Students will be conversant with the usual components used in machine construction and be able to select the appropriate components according to the manufacturer's instructions and/or with the aid of ADP programmes.

Execution methods

Teaching is mainly organized as face-to-face teaching.

Accomplishment methods

The course includes lectures and various exercises.Passing the course requires the completion of practice tasks. The course requires 108 hours of student work.A more detailed course description is presented in the course implementation plan.

Content

Couplings
Bearings
Gears, breaks
Power transfer

Materials

We will announce it during the course.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students are able to use mechanical component calculation methods based on strength theory in basic situations.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students are able to select and measure structural mechanical components as required. They are able to present their calculations clearly and systematically.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students are able to utilise mechanical component selection with expertise and can apply their acquired knowledge to solve complex problems. They can use calculation tools with routine.
