Objective

The aim of the course is to gain an understanding of the basics, importance and role of maintenance in industrial environments. The student is comprehensively familiar with the concepts and terminology of maintenance and understands the importance of failure as part of the development of maintenance functions and condition monitoring. Students learn the different principles of modern maintenance and understand the importance of operational reliability.

- Importance of maintenance
- Maintenance profitability and efficiency
- Basics and design of operational reliability
- Other aspects of maintenance (safety, maintenance systems, warehouse management)

Students will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the basics and importance of maintenance and will be able to apply the lessons learned independently in different entities. The exercises have been carried out with high quality and the answers show familiarity with the topic as well as self-motivated and critical reflection.

Students demonstrate an understanding of the basics and importance of maintenance and are able to apply the lessons learned in different entities. The exercises have been carried out with high quality and the answers show familiarity with the topic and spontaneous reflection.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student has gained a basic knowledge of the basics and importance of maintenance and is able to identify the basic functions of maintenance. The exercises require a deeper understanding of the topic and self-reflection.
