Objective
After completing the course, the student will have basic skills in carrying out various research and development projects and will be able to use research methods in work-life development tasks. The student will be able to search for information and to write scientifically and to critically evaluate the information produced by research and development work.

Opintojakson eteneminen Repun sisältöjen mukaan:
Opintojakso alkaa kirjatentillä. Tämän jälkeen opintojaksolla tehdään ryhmätehtäviä annetussa aikataulussa
Aloitusinfo syyskuussa (1,5 h)
Kirjatentti: 1.6.-30.9.2026 (opiskelijan oman aikataulun mukaan)
Työpaja 1: tiedonhakutehtävä: 1.9.-11.10.2026 (sovitun aikataulun mukaan) ja tiedonhakutehtävän lähiopetus 1,5 h lokakuussa.
Työpaja 2: laadulliset tutkimusmenetelmät: 12.10.- 15.11.2026 (sovitun aikataulun mukaan) ja lähiopetus 1,5 h marraskuussa.
Työpaja 3: määrälliset tutkimusmenetelmät: 16.11. - 13.12.2024 (sovitun aikataulun mukaan) ja lähiopetus 1,5 h joulukuussa.
Tarvittaessa erikseen sovittavat preppaus-tunnit (3 x 1,5 h) Teamsin välityksellä kuhunkin työpajaan liittyen, opettaja ohjeistaa aikataulun.

Teaching methods
Verkko-oppimisympäristössä tapahtuva itsenäinen opiskelu (esitietokysely, tentti, tehtävien laatiminen työpajoihin sekä vertaisarvioinnin antaminen toisille). Verkko-oppimisympäristössä on aiheeseen liittyviä videoluentoja.
Flipped learning eli käänteistä opetusta: opiskelijat perehtyvät tehtäviin etukäteen ja palauttavat tehtävät ennen lähiopetusta. Lähiopetuksessa syvennytään aiheeseen tarkemmin.

The student uses the concepts of research and development activities expertly and versatilely and creates new information based on it.
The student can analyze and critically evaluate studies.
The student knows how to analyze, compare, combine, and select information and present alternative methods of operation in research and development processes.
