Tavoitteet

This course aims to provide students with a fundamental understanding of the preparatory requirements, practical implications and continuity of business through a successful transfer and/or succession. This course will focus on business transfer in the context of SMEs and family businesses. On completion, this course will provide a holistic understanding of the business transfer process, the stakeholders and activities to ensure a successful ownership change. The course is structured sequentially to answer the question of how can we ensure the survival of existing enterprises through a successful business transfer?

No final exam. The course consists of a series of moduels with associated tasks.

The course requires approximately 81 hours of student work. The full 81 hours are related to the activity of the student in completing all tasks related to the course . These amounts are indicative; the actual workload depends on the time the student spends on the tasks.

PASS

Knowledge: Demonstrates ability to identify, describe, and apply course concepts and theoretical frameworks with reasonable accuracy. Can explain the relevance of theories and concepts to tasks or problems.

Skills: Can select and apply appropriate practices, techniques, and concepts to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Works independently and responsibly, showing problem-solving ability in a practical and reasonable manner.

Attitudes: Works professionally and ethically within a team. Contributes effectively to group goals and maintains positive, respectful communication.

FAIL

Knowledge: Inability to accurately identify or describe key concepts from the course, or consistently applies them incorrectly or irrelevantly.

Skills: Requires excessive guidance to complete tasks or shows inability to apply techniques or concepts to problem-solving. Fails to complete work independently or responsibly.

Attitudes: Does not consistently demonstrate professional or ethical conduct; fails to contribute effectively to team goals or disrupts teamwork.

• Knowledge: basic ability to identify the main/individual concepts learned in the course and applies basic analysis using the concepts and theories learned from the course; ability to name and describe the concept.
• Skills: demonstrates ability to work in an appropriate manner with more guidance and supervision, though some uncertainty may be evident in the work; shows basic ability to use the techniques and models of the professional field in basic application
• Attitudes: demonstrates professional conduct in communication, updates, interactions within the team and with supervisor according to professional ethical principles; team work with peers is largely satisfactory
