Objective
The aim of the project studies is that the students gain experience in systematic project-based teamwork and at the same time practical experience of sensors, devices and programming tools for health and wellbeing systems.
They will know how to design a system level plan, can select suitable components for the purpose, perform a prototype configuration, determine the interfaces required by the sensors, and plan the software required by the system.
4. A software package according to specifications will be implemented during the project studies: Sensors (sensors) -> Microcontrollers -> Data collector -> client application - Server (e.g. cloud service) -> Remote monitoring (e.g. mobile end device).
Content
During the project work, the students will make a demo program to demonstrate their ability to work independently.
The project implements a teacher-defined hardware and program that enables students to be trained in programming and hardware design techniques, teamwork, goal-oriented project work and documentation. The system development project is implemented using the Scrum / Lean process model.
In the Scrum model, the teacher acts as a Product Owner defining the required features of the product. The teacher is also a technical advisor to the Scrum team during each day of teaching.
