Objective
Students will know the main laws and decrees concerning mining and will adopt a safe approach suitable to the working conditions, work procedures and when using machinery. In addition they will know the permits and inspections required for different mining jobs.
Content
Mining Law, Council of State and the Ministry of Employment and the Economy decrees.
Occupational safety law and act.
Healthcare Law and certain Council of State decisions. Work place occupational safety notices.
Work requiring licenses. Physical and Psychological work safety
Occupational health arrangements
The responsibilities and duties of those in management roles
Orientation. Work atmosphere. Occupational safety documents. Hazard assessment. Work community and its impact. The economic impacts of occupational safety.
