Objective

Repeat the high school chemistry curriculum and increase knowledge of environmental chemistry.

Execution methods

Lectures and calculation exercises.

Accomplishment methods

The course includes lectures and calculation exercises. Teaching is mainly organized as face-to-face teaching. Passing the course requires active calculation exercises and passing the final exam. The course contains approx. 81 hours of student work. A more detailed course description is presented in the course implementation plan.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student recognizes the basic quantities of the subject area. The student finds the equations needed to solve problems in the subject area and knows how to solve them.
A satisfactory level requires that approximately 50 - 60% of the maximum points in the exam are obtained.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student can draw conclusions in the problems of the subject area.
A good level requires that you get about 70 - 80% of the maximum points in the exam.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can analyze problems in the subject area and produce alternative solution methods.
A commendable level requires that you get more than 90% of the maximum points in the exam.
