Objective

Students will be able to explain the human body's anatomical structures and use foreign terminology to describe them. They will be able to explain factors that affect physiological bodily functions and the importance of anatomical and physiological knowledge in nursing. Students will be able to describe how illness begins, develops, and the structural changes associated with illness as well as factors affecting the basic issues associated with recovery.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students are able to name individual anatomical structures of the human body in Finnish and Latin and can present the main functions of single organs.

The students are able to classify the various organ systems of the human body and how they function.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Students are able to explain how the human body and its various organs form and develop and the biological, physical and chemical principles behind such development.
