Objective

Students will know the basics of thermal engineering, energy sources, production and use and saving energy.

Execution methods

Tiedonhankintatehtävät, harjoitukset, luennot ja portfolio

Accomplishment methods

Suoritus koostuu nauhoitettavista tiedonhankintatehtävistä, luennoista ja portfoliokysymyksistä / -harjoituksista. Opiskelija koostaa edellä mainituista tehtävistä ohjeistetun portfolion, joka arvioidaan numerolla 1-5. Kurssinumero määräytyy ainoastaan portfolion perusteella. Ei luento-osallistumispakkoa.

Portfolion arviointiperusteet:

· Portfolion sisältö ja aiheen käsittelyn loogisuus 40%
· Omaehtoinen pohdinta ja analysointi 30%
· Lainausten määrä ja monipuolisuus 15%
· Sisällysluettelon selkeys, asetukset, kieliasu 15%

Arvioinnissa on sivuttava kurssin arvosteluperusteita.

The students are familiar with the principles of heat transfer and have some perception of global energy supplies. They know the electricity production process and how it works.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students are able to carry out heat transfer calculations and understand related practical procedures and technical solutions.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students possess a versatile understanding of energy transfer chain operations and how energy can be used sustainably.
