Objective
The student: - can communicate understandably both orally and in writing in everyday situations in Swedish, and has a working knowledge of the core structures of the language - improves their spoken and written Swedish language skills in order to be able to undertake other Swedish-language studies included in the degree

- Lähiopetus kampuksella - Lähiopetus verkossa - Ajasta ja paikasta riippumaton verkko-opetus - Ryhmä- tai parityöt - Webinaarit - Itsenäinen työskentely Opintojakso suoritetaan joko kontaktiopetuksessa kampuksella ja osittain verkossa tai kokonaan itsenäisesti verkossa. Kurssilla on runsaasti erilaisia suullisia ja kirjallisia tehtäviä. Tehtävät ovat kielioppi- kielentuottamis- ja ymmärtämistehtäviä sekä sanastotehtäviä. Osa tehtävistä tapahtuu verkossa keskustelualueella. Tehtävät sisältävät myös vuorovaikutusta muiden opiskelijoiden kanssa. Kurssin lopuksi on lyhyt verkossa tehtävä koe.
