Objective

The students will deepen their competence in monitoring the growth of school-aged children and young people and can support them and their families in making health choices that promote health. The students will be able to conduct their work based on identifying the physical and mental resources and risks of school aged children, young people and their families and can plan and carry out evidence based public health work with individuals, families, groups and communities.

Multiprofessional cooperation and guiding patients in how to continue their care
Assessing and supporting the growth and development of school-aged children and young people (inc. life-style and environment)
Life-style counseling school-aged children and young people and their families - monitoring the growth and development of school-aged children and young peoples and screening methods in school and student healthcare
Identifying, preventing and early intervention concerning risks to children's growth and development
Assessing the need for special support and care and providing instructions and guidance to customers
Health counseling and modern working methods/interventions
Expertise in school health awareness teaching, the pastoral care of pupils and in the school community
Sexual health instruction and support for school-aged children and young people

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students know how to analyse, compare, combine and select information and can present alternative procedures. They are able to work independently, responsibly, with initiative and flexibly in every type of learning and operational environment. The students are proficient in selecting and critically assessing the techniques and models of public health nursing. They can work as part of a team promoting and developing the team's work.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students are able to select appropriate procedures based on acquired knowledge and guidance. They are able to reflect upon and assess their own abilities and the practices of public health nursing. They can apply public health nursing practices as required. The students can work as members of teams to achieve the team's common goals. They can also justify their actions according to professional ethical principles.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students are able to work in an appropriate manner though a certain amount of uncertainty is apparent. The students are able to work under supervision in different learning and operational environments using public health nursing practices as required. The students can work as a member of a team taking other members of the team into consideration. Their work complies with professional ethical principles.

Ennakkotehtävä valmistautua tunneille opiskelemalla Oppiportissa verkkokurssi ”Nuori vastaanotolla” (30min). Jäsennä verkkokurssilla oppimasi käsitekartaksi, jonka palautat Reppuun viimeistään 2.9.2024 mennessä

4.9.2024 Teams: Terveystarkastusten sisältö: Kasvu- ja puberteettikehitys
Ennakkotehtävänä valmistautuminen tunneille tekemällä itselle oma/lapsen kasvukäyrä https://kasvuseula.fi/
Tuntien jälkeen pohdintatehtävä Repussa: Tutustu Repusta löytyvään lapsen ylipainoa käsittelevään materiaaliin. Selvitä lukemasi perusteella se, miten puhua lapsen/nuoren ylipainosta vastaanotolla?
Pohdi myös sitä, miten kasvukäyrää voi hyödyntää lapsen lihavuuden hoidossa? Palauta tiivistetty vastauksesi Reppuun (n. 1 A4-sivu) ja merkkaa tehtävä tehdyksi. Tehtävän palautus viimeistään 8.9.2024.

Ennakkotehtävänä Oppiportin koulutuskokonaisuus Mielenterveyden edistäminen kouluterveydenhuollossa, laajuus 3h. Sisältää verkkokurssit 1) Mielenterveysongelmien ennaltaehkäisy kouluterveydenhuollossa (45min), 2) Mielenterveysongelmien kohtaaminen kouluterveydenhuollossa (60min) ja 3) Masennus, ahdistuneisuus ja itsetuhoisuus kouluterveydenhuollossa (45min).
Palauta verkkokurssien todistukset Reppuun viimeistään 15.9.2024

19.9.2024 lähiopetus: Moniammatillinen yhteistyö, kuraattorin työ tutuksi
Ennakkotehtävänä oppilas- ja opiskeluhuoltotoimintaan liittyvä lakitehtävä Repussa, tehtävän palautus 18.9.2024 mennessä Reppuun.
Tunneilla vierailulla kuraattori Jukka Mannermaa KAOlta. Miettikää valmiiksi kysymyksiä, kysymysten palautus kootusti Tiinalle viimeistään 15.9.2024 mennessä.

23.9.2024 lähiopetus: Terveystarkastusten sisältö: Psykososiaalinen kehityksen tukeminen ja arviointi
Ennakkotehtävänä tutustua StudyGroup-ryhmissä, johonkin koulu- ja opiskeluterveydenhuollossa käytettävään testiin/menetelmään ja/tai toimintamalliin, jotka käydään tunneilla läpi yhteistoiminnallisesti.
Pienryhmien tuotokset palautetaan Repun keskustelualueelle viimeistään 21.9.2024

Tuntien lopuksi/jälkeen kirjoitat henkilökohtaisen reflektiosi, jossa tuot esille, mitkä olivat tuntien aikaiset tärkeimmät oivalluksesi? Mitä poimit tästä päivästä mukaasi? Jäikö jokin mietityttämään? Palauta henkilökohtainen reflektiosi Reppuun 6.10.2024 mennessä.
