Objective

The students will be familiar with the basic tasks, tools and models of management communication and can analyze different communication channels and operational environments to seek the best solution. They can assess their own communication and management skills from a one to one and collective communication perspective. They recognize how management behavior impacts managing individuals and groups.

Content

Managing communication and interactive situations.
Verbal and nonverbal communication in management
Internal and external communication.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students are able to use the different areas of management communication, tools and different operational models responsibly and in a solution-oriented manner. In their portfolio they are able to analyse their own management skills and leadership from the individual and group communication point of view. The students recognise and consider the impacts of management behaviour on supervising individuals and groups. The students use a variety of commendable sources to complete their portfolio.

The students know the different management communication tools and operational models to an excellent degree.In their portfolio they demonstrate the ability to apply management tools and operational models and can analyse management, feedback provision and focuses for development. The students use a variety of good sources to complete their portfolio.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students know the basic tasks, roles and responsibilities of management communication. Their portfolio demonstrates the ability to examine the impact of factors affecting individual and group behaviour from the management point of view and to consider the impact of communication from various perspectives. The students use a narrow supply of sources to complete their portfolio.
