Objective

The students will be familiar with the different types of work within child protection and family services and the key cooperation networks in non-institutional social care, foster care and after care. They will know the client and child protection processes of child protection and family work and the opportunities offered by working within a network. The students will be proficient in the basic principles of social rehabilitation in child protection and family services and they will understand how the conditions in which a child grows produces shielding and risk factors. The students will know the basics of legislation that regulates child protection and family work.

Content

The child protection system, child and family work and child protection legislation, inclusive documentation and legal record keeping, rehabilitation and social guidance in child protection and family work, working in networks, multiprofessional work and preventive work.
