Course unit code: TKVV002
General information
- Credits
- 3 cr
Objective
Students will be able to make and use a virtual model to programme and simulate robot applications.
Content
Constructing a virtual model of a robot station
Connecting the virtual model to the production system
ABB IRB 140 robot and IRC5 control
Programming of robot movements and signals in the virtual model
Simulating and carrying out piece handling operations with robots
Simulating and carrying out milling machining paths with robots
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The students are able to use a wide range of robotics and off-line programming of robots concepts and operating principles used in virtual production with expertise and can combine devices in virtual modelling. They are able to present, select and assess robots alternative solutions. They are able to work as part of a team, promoting the team's activities.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The students are able to use a virtual model for programming and simulating a robot application and can use virtual production concepts systematically. They are able to connect the virtual model to the production system and can apply virtual production to automatic production and can justify their choice.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The students are able to build a virtual robot cell and can name and describe terms related to robotics and the off line programming of robots used in virtual production and are able to work as part of a team taking others into consideration.
