Objective
The students will be able to use the most common auxiliary devices for moving patients. They will be able to ensure that the patient is clean, dressed and gets enough rest. The students will be able to help the patients to eat and can treat patients suffering from constipation. The students will be proficient in carrying out intermittent and indwelling catheterization and treating urinary incontinence.
Content
Daily basic care:
- skin care
- helping with washing and getting dressed
- mouth and teeth care
- foot care
- ergonomics for nurses and ergonomic interventions
- helping a patient to move
- auxiliary devices used in basic care
