Objective
The goal is for the student to understand the basics of product development and service design.
The student knows the importance of service development and customer relationship- oriented thinking as part of implementing profitable business.
The student is able to develop organizational services taking into account business principles.

Kevätlukukaudella lähiopetus kerran viikossa 2,5 tuntia.
Materials
Luennot ja lisämateriaalit on jaettu Repussa.

Luennot, soveltavat tehtävät, tentti ja ryhmätyöt/itsenäiset tehtävät.

Vierailut yrityksiin ja mahdollisiin paikallisiin tapahtumiin.
Opintomatka kuuluu opintojakson pakollisiin suorituksiin. Matka tehdään yhden päivän aikana ja se on ilmainen opiskelijoille.

Completion alternatives
Sovitaan opettajan kanssa tapauskohtaisesti KAMKin pääperiaatteiden mukaisesti:
- Aiemmat korkeakoulusuoritukset voidaan hyväksilukea tapauskohtaisesti.
- Työelämässä aiemmin hankittua osaamista tunnistetaan (AHOT) tapauskohtaisesti.
- Opinnollistaminen eli nykyisessä työssä hankittava ja osoitettava opintojakson tavoitteiden osaaminen.

The student uses key concepts of service design and product development appropriately and knows how to describe the process and tools of service development.
The student knows how to choose appropriate service design tools based on the knowledge and instructions they have acquired and implement development work appropriately. The student knows how to act independently and responsibly and knows how to use appropriate techniques and models for the activity.
The student knows how to act professionally in customer situations and as a member of a group to achieve a common goal. The student knows how to act in accordance with professional ethical principles.
