Objective

Students will be able to work as a specialist in the health promoting impacts of exercise. They will be able assess exercise capability and compile personalised exercise instructions for people in different states of health. Students will have the knowledge of doing exercise councelling in a client-oriented way.

Exam schedules

No exam. The assignments related to the course will be announced at the beginning of the course and they can be viewed in Reppu.

Student workload

The course requires approximately 54 hours of student work, including contact teaching. The amount is indicative and the final workload is determined by the time spent by the student himself/herself on the work.

The student does not meet the minimum requirements for the assignments (as a value of 1).

Has an excellent command of the basics of health and well-being counselling.
Is able to act in a customer-oriented, safe and goal-oriented manner when promoting the health and well-being of individuals.
Masters the preparation of a health-promoting exercise plan at an excellent level.
Is able to analyse, reflect and critically evaluate his/her own competence.
Is able to act independently, responsibly, proactively and flexibly in the course assignments.
Is able to act as a member of a group promoting and developing the group's activities.

Knows and understands the basics of health and well-being counselling in some or moderate respects.
Can promote health and well-being of individuals in some respects.
Is able to draw up health-promoting exercise plans, but there is still a lot to learn in the basics.
Is able to analyze, reflect and evaluate his/her own competence in some respects.
