Opintojakson sisältö:
1. Varhaiskasvatuksen pedagogiikka ja sosiaalipedagogiikka varhaiskasvatuksessa 1 OP
2. Lapsen kehitys ja oppiminen sekä niiden pedagoginen tukeminen 1 OP
3. Varhaiskasvatuksen toimintakulttuuri ja leikki pedagogisena menetelmänä 1 OP
4. Lapsen ja perheiden hyvinvoinnin ja osallisuuden tukeminen 1 OP
5. Pedagogisen projektin suunnittelu, toteutus, arviointi ja dokumentointi 1 OP

Objective

Student
- knows what early childhood education pedagogy and operating culture are and knows how to develop them in practice
- can identify the child's support needs
- knows how to plan activities that support the well-being of children and families.
- knows how to support the child's growth, development and learning
- can strengthen the participation of children and families

Content

- Pedagogy of early childhood education
- Factors that support the well-being of the operating culture of early childhood education
- Planning, evaluation, development and documentation of pedagogical and community activities
- Identifying the support needs of children and families and activities that support well-being, and planning and evaluating the activities
- Supporting and strengthening the child's interaction and participation
- Prevention of marginalization and bullying
- The child's growth, development and learning
- Observation of play
- Guiding groups of children

Verkkoluennot ja oppimisympäristössä vaadittujen tehtävien tekeminen, projektityö opiskelijan valitsemassa varhaiskasvatusympäristössä
Lähiopetus Kajaani: Kajaanin ammattikorkeakoulu, Taito2 rakennus, Ketunpolku 4
Etäopetus: Oppimistehtävien palautus on ajastettu (tehtävien palautuspäivämäärät löytyvät Repusta kunkin tehtävän kohdalta).
Opintojakso tulee olla suoritettuna viimeistään 15.12.2025 mennessä.

Teaching methods

Verkko-oppimisympäristössä tapahtuva itsenäinen opiskelu (pieniä kirjoitustehtäviä, leikin havainnointi, pedagoginen/yhteisöllinen projekti ryhmätyönä) ja verkkokeskusteluun osallistuminen.

Lähiopetus: Luentoja ja yhteistoiminnallista oppimista opintojakson sisällöistä ja vuorovaikutusharjoituksia, työelämän vierailuja.

Completion alternatives

Opintojakso sisältää pakollista lähiopetusta, jossa opiskelijat käsittelevät opintojakson sisältöjä. Syksyn 2025 lähipäivät ovat 29.8., 25.9., 26.11. ja 12.12.

Opintojaksoon sisältyy ryhmätyönä toteutettavan projektityön suunnittelu, toteutus, arviointi ja dokumentointi.

Student workload

Opintojakso on 5 opintopistettä. Yksi opintopiste vastaa n. 27h opiskelijan työtä eli yhteensä n. 135h opiskelijan työtä.
