Content scheduling

Syksyllä 7 kolmen oppitunnin kokonaisuutta, joista yksi on rästikerta. Keväällä 6 kolmen oppitunnin kokonaisutta, joista kaksi on rästikertoja.

Objective

Students will become conversant with basic physics through experimentation. The course also covers measurement technology and written reporting.

Completion alternatives

Kurssin suoritukseen kuuluu kaksi pienempää ja 8 laajempaa laboratoriotyötä. Pienemmistä töistä laaditaan raportit valmiille pohjille. Laajemmista töistä tehdään työselostukset, jotka arvioidaan asteikolla 1 - 5. Jokainen opiskelija palauttaa molemmat raportit sekä kaksi työselsotusta, yhden keväälläl ja yhden syksyllä.

Student workload

Osallistuminen 10 laboratorioharjoitukseen on pakollista. Yksi opetuskerta on 3*45 minuuttia. Tämän lisäksi opiskelija laatii kaksi raporttia ja kaksi työselostusta.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

All measurements are conducted according to the instructions. The students are able to find suitable equations in the solutions to problems.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students are able to draw conclusions from the problems in hand. They are able to divide problem solving into suitable parts.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students are able to analyse the problems in hand and produce alternative methods of solving them.
