Objective
The students will be able to describe accommodation operations in Finland and worldwide and explain the different forms of accommodation. They will understand the internal and external operational environment of accommodation operations and will master the main duties and tasks associated with working in the accommodation business.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student can extensively describe and analyse the main features and phases of the history of accommodation in Finland and worldwide to this day. The student can explain different forms of accommodation in depth while analysing the operational environment of the accommodation. The student can use hotel reservation software independently and extensively and has extensively mastered the comprehensive principles of hotel departments. The student acts customer-oriented, and goal-driven. The student collaborates as a team member, enhancing and developing group activities. The student applies professional ethical principles in their actions.

The student can explain different forms of accommodation and describe the accommodation operational environment. The student acts purposefully based on acquired information and instructions. The student is a member of a team and takes other team members into consideration.
