Objective
Construction engineering students develop their intercultural competence in English. The student can recognise cultural differences, understand them and adapt communication style as required. The students will apply their international communication competence. The students will immerse their ability to work in global and multicultural working life situations in both spoken and written interaction.

The student participates with enthusiasm and profoundness in the course assignments and completes the assignments excellently
- is able to recognise the main theories and principles of intercultural communication
- is able to discuss and write about related themes using the correct terminology
- pronunciation and intonation is clear
- is able to plan and implement a comprehensive and natural presentation according to instruction
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student participates actively in the course assignments and completes the assignments as per instruction
- is able to recognise some of the main theories and principles of intercultural communication
- is are able to recognise and use basic terminology of the field
- pronunciation and intonation is to some extent clear although contains errors
- is are able to plan and implement a presentation on a topic related to their field
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student participates in the course assignments and completes the assignments as per minimum demand
- is able to recognise the basic terminology of the field
- is able to communicate on intercultural issues in writing and orally to some degree
- pronunciation and intonation is weak
- is able to deliver a presentation on the topic topic related to their field of demanded length with help tools
