Tavoitteet

The student:
Can describe the principles and methods of family nursing and apply them in nursing settings
Knowledge of the normal course and monitoring of pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium and use of this knowledge in nursing care.
Can provide guidance and support to the family in parenting
Can apply their knowledge of the main diseases of children and young people in the provision of nursing care

Supervised practice in a clinical care setting, where the process of child, adolescent and family care is implemented

Passed:
The student is able to support and promote the health and well-being of children and young people, women and families of different ages and is able to implement resource-based family nursing.
The student is able to work in a multidisciplinary team according to his/her area of responsibility.
The care planned, implemented and evaluated by the student is patient-safe.
The student will be able to implement safe medication management in different settings.
The student will apply the principles of patient safety and occupational safety in all activities.
The student is able to seek and use evidence-based information to justify their own practice. Students will be able to reflect on their professional development, nursing interactions and professional growth in different settings.

Fail:
The student does not recognize the resources of the client family, children and/or adolescents of different ages, or women and the encounter is indifferent.
The student does not reflect the principles of child, youth and family care.
The student compromises patient safety in the care process.
The student's duty of confidentiality is not respected.
The student is unable to receive feedback or to use the feedback to improve his/her own performance
The student's competency objectives do not guide practice and self-assessment is cursorily described.
