Objective

Student
-is able to critically analyze and conceptualise development needs arising from nursing and social work and the organisation's strategy and define them
-is able to manages systematic literature review using evidence-based databases and national and international treatment recommendations
-is able to utilize evidence and evaluate its suitability in solving the need/problem for the development of nursing and social work
-is able to apply and critically evaluate implementation models that support evidence-based care and social work in the development of the social and health sector
at the individual and community levels
-is able to establish and argue evidence-based activities in nursing and social work
-is able to lead and develop evidence-based activities
-is able to develop and value evidence-based activities as part of professional competence in nursing or social work as well as national and international expertise

Developing Evidence Based Activities
Student
-masters critical search, analysis and assessment of research information and wide utilisation of international research in working life
-masters follow-up, assessment and development of research and evidence based nursing in working life
-masters the process of evidence based activities
-is able to show excellent command of language and communication skills required in working life by reporting and presenting tasks, and critically utilizes material in a foreign language
-is able to report one's tasks in an international environment

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Student
-masters critical search, analysis and assessment of research information and utilisation of international research in working life
-masters follow-up, assessment and development of research and evidence based nursing in working life
-is able to apply the process of evidence based activities
-is able to show a good command of language and communication skills required in working life by reporting and presenting tasks, and aims at utilising material in a foreign language

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Student
-aims at critical search, analysis and assessment of research information and reading international research
-masters the basics of follow-up and assessment of research and evidence based nursing
-is familiar with the process of evidence based nursing

Execution methods

The course consists of distance learning webinars, independent work, information retrieval training and learning assignments. The course includes the following tasks: an online assignment, a learning and development task and a peer assessment (self-assessment is also possible).

The output must be created without artificial intelligence. The student should use only their own knowledge, understanding and skills. The use of AI is prohibited for legitimate reasons and will be interpreted as fraud.
