Content scheduling

The course consists of lectures and instructional discussions delivered as contact teaching, which are shared by the entire group.
A more detailed progression will be presented at the start of the course.

Objective

The student understands the basics of service business, where service and customer experience form the basis of value creation. The student knows the core concepts and special features of services marketing. The student acknowledges the importance of customer satisfaction and recognizes different processes and development needs.

60-80% attendance rate required for the contact lectures (No possibility for taking the course remotely)

Location and time

Contact teaching will be provided on campus during the autumn semester 2026 in accordance with the timetable issued.

The course is delivered according to the pedagogical solutions chosen by the teacher.
The course includes lectures, instructional discussions and exercises, group work, and independent study. These activities help you practice and master the key contents of the course. Teaching is conducted in person.
Passing the course requires active participation as well as completing the assigned tasks and exercises according to the teacher’s instructions.

Student workload

The course requires approximately 108 hours of student work. The share of contact teaching is about 16 hours. The remaining workload consists of independent study or group work and preparing assignments. These amounts are approximate, and the final workload depends on the time the student personally uses for studying.
