Continuation of Sports Academy Coaching 1 course. In this course, the student acts either as an Athlete or a Coach. The prerequisite for starting the course is the completion of Sports Academy Coaching 1.

AS AN ATHLETE:
• Familiarity with the key areas and opportunities of the national sports academy program and the ability to utilize sports academy coaching to maximize personal athlete development. The athlete can make bold choices to improve desired results.
• Sharing knowledge and expertise related to sports and studies within the academic and sports community (e.g., blog, participation in student recruitment events, participation as an expert in student sports events, involvement in fairs/school visits, etc.).
• Evaluation: Pass/Fail.
• Recognition and anticipation of the overall load produced by sports and studies and anticipation of potential changes in personal sports and study plans.
• Development as a sports expert and a student in their field, capable of sharing sports and academic expertise in various situations.
• Identification of possible synergies between sports and academic careers (training, thesis work, etc.).

• Sharing knowledge and expertise related to sports and studies within the academic and sports community (e.g., blog, participation in student recruitment events, participation as an expert in student sports events, involvement in fairs/school visits, etc.).

AS A COACH:
Participation in coaching and self-assessment of personal development
• Updating the personal coaching and study plan
• Participation in sports academy meetings
• Involvement in guiding 2nd-year fall coaching practices with sports academy head coach
• Sharing knowledge and expertise related to sports and studies within the academic and sports community (e.g., blog, participation in student recruitment events, giving lectures or testing demonstrations in coaching courses, involvement in fairs/school visits, etc.).
• Coaching at Vuokatti-Ruka Sports Academy practices for one semester (3rd year fall) three times a week
• Recording hours spent on coaching, getting it approved by the academy coach (5 credits = 125-135 hours of student work, including planning, meetings, and implementation)
• Describing the development of personal expertise in report form (Approved by the Sports Academy Coach)
